Hands down, Ebates is my favorite cash back site. I’ve literally earned thousands of dollars from them over the 3-4 years I’ve been with them.
You simply go to their site FIRST before purchasing online, and it’s WAY cheaper to purchase your stuff online. I rarely shop in stores and here are my 37 reasons why.
But even setting all that aside, Ebates has a referral program where you can earn cash when you refer your friends.
There are a LOT of referral programs out there…why should this be any different?
You know, I really don’t know. I don’t know WHY people LOVE Ebates so much other than what I’ve already mentioned. But, the fact of the matter is they do. People sign up by the hoards (yes seriously) and you earn $10 each person AND get bonuses! Not only do you earn $10, but they earn $10 too! They earn $10 FREE money for signing up and making 1 purchase of $25 or more. That’s it. It’s super simple. And it’s effective.

Taking surveys from home is a great way to add money to your income. Will you get rich by taking surveys? No. But, it IS a great way to earn money. Think about it. A survey pays you $2-$3 per survey you take and it takes 10-15 minutes of your time. Let’s say you made $3 for 15 minutes, that’s $12/hour. That’s a high paying job right there!
With anything you do online to make money, whether selling on Craigslist, eBay, or making money from these sites mentioned here, you always want to make sure it’s worth your time. There are a lot of time suckers out there, and each mom will decide a different amount she wants to make per hour. A mom just starting out making money online, may want to make $5/hour, then as you learn how to make money online, you can move that up to $10/hour. If your goal is $10/hour and something doesn’t pay you at least what you want, don’t do it. The great thing about this list is that everything will make you $10/hour or more.
Not only that, but you get the satisfaction of helping create and inspire new products. One of my favorite things about taking surveys is that sometimes they will lead to more work. I remember the day that a very well-known cereal company hired me for $100 to take part in a 4 hour survey. That’s $25/hour guys! At the time, it was huge to me! And I loved every minute of it. I got to shape the new products they were coming out with. I got to try their products and give valuable feedback. I felt like I was a part of something, changing the world a little at a time.
I’d see the product in the store and feel so proud. That was MY idea, I’d say, knowing they took my advice. It was really cool.
Speaking of surveys….my other favorite survey company is…
I loved working for them as they always offered really great surveys, that were FUN and paid well. My favorite assignment was for a very well-known hair shampoo company and I was to test out the shampoo. They paid me $3 for the initial survey to pre-qualify me. Then they paid me another $3 to take the survey and get my pre-try opinions. They sent me TWO LARGE (massive-sized) bottles of shampoo to try for a few weeks, and last, they sent me another survey and paid me $3 for my opinions after trying it. I tell you…that was awesome! I was paid $9 and got free shampoo that lasted me like 6 months!
The bottles are about $8-$9 per bottle x 2 = $18 + 3 surveys ($9) = $27 for one task.
Does that happen every time? No! But it’s pretty cool when it does and the more you participate and give REAL quality answers, the more you get selected for great gigs like that.
Again, it won’t make you rich, but it takes VERY LITTLE time and the pay is pretty good for the amount of time you spend on each survey.
BlueHost is an affiliate company that pays you to refer your friends. Know anyone that wants to start a blog? If you do, you can make some serious cash! Bluehost charges them the money upfront (because who wants their site to go down because they forgot to make a payment and the URL is sold! Ahhhh!) and then they give you a portion of that as a thank you. Each sale you make highly differs. They pay anywhere from $65 to $125 per sale and the more you refer to them, the more you can earn. I know one blogger who made $43,000 last MONTH in sales from BlueHost. Is it worth your time? Absolutely!
When I was reselling, back before I started blogging, I made a killing in sales because I always bought super low using Slickdeals and sold at reasonable prices. I was able to offer such reasonable prices to my customers because I was getting the merchandise so cheap. It was a goldmine, seriously. If you want to make quick money online, resell. It’s as simple as that!
I’ve been with Grove Collaborative for a little while now and I get all my household supplies for free simply by using their affiliate program. They give you credit for every person who joins with you and it add up very quickly.
You can also earn money when you sign up other people who want to be an affiliate, not just use the products themselves. They’ve been working on a lot of incentives lately, so going into details at this point, may be irrelevant, but currently it’s $10 per sign up.
When I studied their prices as compared to say Target, their prices are just about the same considering they give you the $10 free each sign up. And if you are an influencer (this is what they call affiliates) sometimes you can get free access into their VIP program, which is a $20 value every year and gets you free shipping. I’ve done a lot of promoting with them and people really seem to love the company. I know I do! I look forward to their shipments every month.
I personally love that I don’t have to worry about running out of something. I just set up the products I want, and they ship them to me right when I need them. Pull ups, for example, are something that I used to stress about and no longer do because they are always just shipped right on time and the quality of the product is superb. In fact, if you are a part of the VIP program, they give you one free item every single month. On top of that, they send out free samples with every shipment (at least they have to me). It’s really cool to get samples of their products because then I know what to order the next time.
They really make things so much easier and I’m proud to promote them and you will be too!
I wanted to stick two companies in this article, because really, they are so similar.
Fiverr is a company that you can make money from and while I’m a fan of making money WITH them, I’m not a fan of SPENDING money with them. I feel like there are a lot of out-of-country scam artists and it’s hard not to get taken. I got taken many times over when I first started blogging. They would sell things that are completely against the rules and my being new to blogging, I did not know. I had to go back and delete all that they did and it was a nightmare.
With that said, if YOU are honorable, you will stand above the rest and can easily make money. You can sell just about anything and once you get started, it goes pretty quickly. Get about 5-10 sales, and you start flying with the sales. When I was selling on Fiverr, I happened across a gig for sale that was an image of a cupcake and the person wrote Happy Birthday and the person’s name in the flag on the cupcake. That’s it. That’s all they did. I mean, it takes like, what, 5 seconds to do that and they had about 160 sales! 160 x $5 is $800!
The fees for Fiverr, last I checked, was $1 per gig. So, if you sell something for $5, you earn $4. They also charge the customer a small fee around 50¢, but you get the $4 per sale.
Upwork (formerly known as Odesk) is very much the same as Fiverr. They have their own rules of course, but both sites are great to earn money from.

Bloggers like me, magazines, websites, even TV shows are always looking for pictures to use in their media. Since taking the perfect picture usually takes a long time and it’s hard to have the right set up or get the perfect professional-looking photo, we rely on those sites to find pictures and use the pictures on our sites. Buying a subscription to a photography site is the logical way to go. My site personally uses a good balance of both stock photo’s and photo’s that I take myself.

Craigslist is like an online yard sale. It’s one of the popular sites that make you side cash. There are so many things you can sell on there. You can purchase things on Craigslist to sell or even get things for free in the free section. I used to refinish old furniture and make quite a lot doing this. Of course, no list would be complete without ebay. This is how I made a full-time income before blogging. I would sell Littlest Pet Shop toys, most of the time that I got off eBay in lots or off Craigslist. I’d sell them all individually and at the time, was in the top 5 sellers in over 46,000 ads. I was good and I loved it (but I love blogging more!)
eBay is a great way to get rid of a lot of stuff around the house. Things like old computers, electronics, toys, scrapbooking sets you never used. Really, anything you can think of and the more unique or original the item is, the more you’ll get.
I remember years and years ago, I saw people selling snow from that bad blizzard they got in Colorado. One zipper bag of melted snow, because the story was picked up by Yahoo, went for thousands of dollars. I highly doubt they paid, but there were a lot of other ads that were actually selling as well. I saw a weird mug on there that went for $30. Things sell, you just have to list them and wait it out if they don’t sell right away.
This is a great site in which you can do various things to earn points. You cash out the points for things like Amazon gift cards, etc.

I know that it may *sound* strange, but there are actually professional giveaway enterers (for a lack of a better title). They spend all day online entering giveaways and this is a real way they earn money and prizes from home. They set up a separate email account for the spam and enter everything they can. Do you like to sew? Maybe you create clay sculptures. Whatever you hand make, you can sell on Etsy. A friend of mine makes purses and sells them on Etsy and at craft fairs. Especially around Christmas-time, craft fairs can make good money! I know another girl who sells vinyl backgrounds for photography and does really well. I buy my backgrounds from her as they are quality. I see other people all the time selling things they’ve created online.
Things like printables, calendars, menu’s, organizing sheets. If you have Picmonkey, you can create a printable and sell it on Etsy!!!! And they make fantastic money too! I’m still waiting to find a good quality person who can make me a household binder because I think my readers would love it, but it’s so dang expensive. I’m talking hundreds of dollars for an exclusive set for just my site!
Think about all the money that you can make just doing the thing you take for granted. If you type, you can sell your skills as a transcriptionist or writing for blogs. If you take photos, you can make money selling your photo’s to stock photo sites. Like giving your opinion? You can take surveys, play games, and search with companies like SwagBucks and make money that way.
The sky is the limit guys. You can literally do ANYTHING. There are so many options and sites that make you money! We live in a day and age where anything is possible. The point is that you need to jump in and do it. Get involved, jump. Don’t know where to begin? The best place to start is where you are at now. Start somewhere because you don’t want to look back a year from now and be in the same place you are now!
