Are you feeling nervous, jittery, worried about something?
Life can sure get worrisome at times, but do you know it’s a sin to be anxious? Why? Because the Lord commands us not to do it (Philippians 4:6-8).
Being anxious shows a lack of faith in God, your Redeemer. It’s like saying, “I trust you to save me from Hell, but I don’t think you can handle THIS problem.”
It can easily turn into blaspheme when we begin to question God’s sovereignty, power, love, and care for us, as we are calling Him a liar.
It can lead to a downward spiral of all sorts of sins and at the worst part: bitterness.
“Why aren’t you saving me, Lord? I’m worried, and you’re not doing anything about it.” Then you get mad and walk away from Him.
Therefore, since this one feeling you’re experiencing right now can have such catastrophic effects in your life, it’s far better to take care of it now, before it becomes a BIG problem!
Let’s look together at what Scripture (the authority) says about being anxious in these 30 Bible verses about anxiety. Then we can line our thoughts, heart, mind, and soul up to His so that we stay on His perfect path for our life.
