Well….as you can see from the picture below, we are STILL, yes STILL, digging our way out of the snow (snow shoveling once to twice a day!) Currently, it is raining. For those of you who know, rain is ESPECIALLY significant to me personally. It represents a promise I feel the Lord made to me when convicting me through Scripture. While I’ve always been a fan of the rain, I love it even more now. 🙂
If you’re wondering where I got these super cute snow boots for my daughter, I got them at Kohls during Black Friday deals I believe. They were regularly priced at $50 and on sale with coupon codes for around $10. Here’s the link to them. My daughter really loves them. The mock-sweater part doesn’t roll up, so they stay nice and put in the winter conditions and have a layered look that I’m such a big fan of.
So, I’ve been playing around with rainbows on photos this week. 🙂 Here’s a picture I took at the ocean and here it is with a rainbow. Cool, huh!
I’m having so much fun messing around with software and programs. Seriously. I’m in my element! The wheels have been turning in my head and I have a large secret to confess!
You ready?!
I’m going to be bringing you TONS more printables!
I feel like there’s SO much I can do with graphics and photography. The first place I’ll start is getting some help with more binders. I really love being able to print out JUST the pages I need, not buying a whole book of a bunch of pages I don’t need….and it’s cheaper. 🙂
But, I’d also like to start bringing you wall decor printables. That’s why I bought the photo frames last week. 🙂
For me, it’s a TON of fun. I love doing it and I know it can help encourage and inspire moms around the world. This is my path. This is what I want to do and I’m SUPER excited about it! The site will, as always remain the same, with the same focus it’s always had, BUT…there will be TONS of printables available in time.
I just made my very first one for my wall…what do you think?
Now, I’m not done gushing about printables, I could go on and on forever because I love them so much, but let’s talk money, shall we. 🙂
The things I bought this week:
A couple of things I needed and found at great prices this week were:
- Pumice stone (set of 2)
- Pure Magnesium Flakes (you put these in your bath or make a lotion out of them)
- Gold Metal Flakes (I thought these would look pretty in my pictures- I haven’t tried them yet)
- A white furry rug (I thought this would look pretty in the background of my pictures)
- Card stock (for my super fun hobby of making printables)
This week, I needed to order groceries and many of you have been asking how exactly I do that, where do I go, and how do I save money shopping for groceries online. So…I’m working on an entire post about it! I want to go into great depth about it, so that you’re fully prepared to order yourself. 🙂 You can check out that post here.
I will say that my BBQ sunflower seeds, which I’m obsessed with, were out of stock at the grocery store, so I purchased them on Amazon instead. I paid $17.20 for 12 bags (here’s the link). I bought 36 bags total to stock up because they are getting harder to find here locally. I paid a total of $3.73 MORE for those 36 bags had I of gotten them with my grocery store.
They were also out of stock on envelopes, so I purchased those on Amazon as well (here’s the ones I bought- I paid $17.99 for a huge box of 500). I SAVED $1.58 over the cheapest price in any local store.
I couldn’t find the disposable gloves I needed at my local store online, so I purchased them on Amazon. I paid $6.62 for a box of 100 (these gloves are for small hands, here’s the link). Over store prices, by purchasing these on Amazon, I SAVED $1.83 of the lowest price at a local store.
So, between those three items alone, I ended up saving 32¢ over going to a store in person plus gas and it was much more convenient buying online.
If you’re looking at dinner ideas for your not going to stores challenge, here’s some great ones:
- Spicy Spaghetti (the ingredients for this is something super simple to keep in your pantry/freezer!)
- Sweet Potato Bake (this is a super simple dinner to make…just throw everything on a sheet pan = done!)
- Greek Avgolemono Vegetable Soup (I’m a soup FANATIC and this one will soon become one of your favs!)
- Alfredo Pasta (get dinner on the table SUPER quick with THIS recipe!)
- Pan Seared Tuna with Spinach Pesto (this sandwich is so tasty and best of all, it’s gluten free!)
For the sweet tooth:
- Banana Pudding (this reminds me of the flavor of Banana Cream Pie…but less fattening 🙂 )
- Nutella Swirl Muffins (perfect for entertaining or your kids school lunches)
- Cherry Cheesecake Crescent Ring (CHEESEcake….’nuff said!)
For those that love to know the songs I’m listening to the most this week, here they are on YouTube:
- Keke Palmer – It’s My Turn
- The Script – Superheroes
- The Script – Hall Of Fame
- Zendaya – Neverland
