These books, videos, and products will help you grow tremendously in your spiritual walk, but the BEST thing you can do is to continually pray for wisdom. When we ask God to help us be what He wants us to be, He always acts! 😊
Things I’ve Read and Have Helped the Most
Valley of Vision (Puritan Prayers) – I’m still going through this book (slowly) because every prayer I read COMPLETELY BLOWS MY MIND!!! I suggest getting the leather option because you will find yourself using this book a lot and coming back to it often.
Knowing God by J.I. Packer – I read this early into my Christian walk and absolutely loved it!
Saving Money Sermons – These sermon series were foundational to me as a new Christian. Every year since then, I listen to them to make sure I am still on the right road, spending God’s money wisely. Every year, He blesses me more and more with wealth as I implement these key principles. Scroll down to the middle of the page where it says, “Audio” and click the button to listen to them free online.
- Mastering Your Money by John MacArthur
- Whose Money Is It, Anyway? by John MacArthur
- Richer Than You Think by John MacArthur
The Battle For the Beginning by John MacArthur – These free sermons may sound boring to you. You may think that you already know what you need to about creation but after listening to this sermon series, you will have a much higher understanding of creation and that will carry over and affect a lot of things in your life. You need to listen to these, even if you think you don’t. 😊
The Pursuit of Holiness and The Fruitful Life by Jerry Bridges – I don’t remember too much what these were about, I just remember reading them and being enthralled with them and learning so much as a new Christian. Definitely recommend and maybe it’s time for me to re-read too! 💖
Elizabeth George – Life Management for Busy Women – This will convince you to spend 30 mins every day with God as your first priority!
My Favorite Bibles
John MacArthur Study Bible – This is my main go-to Bible. My favorite versions are the NASB and ESV. There’s also an app if you want his study Bible on your phone. 😊
The Spurgeon Study Bible – This one has lots of notes from Charles Spurgeon and is super helpful. Oftentimes, I’ll read my regular Bible and then flip to this Bible to see if Spurgeon has anything to say about it. His words are super meaty and really makes you think about things in a way you wouldn’t have already!

The Best Topics I’ve Deep-Dived In to Learn a Lot About
• Liberty in Christ (it’s so often misunderstood.)
• The Armor of God (once understood deeper, you understand the POWER you have in Christ and life becomes more manageable.)
• Abiding in Christ (this is the secret to living a life well!)
• God’s high calling for women (when you understand your position in Christ, everything lines up the way He intends it too and you become a much happier person.)
• Election (this is a great, foundational thing to learn!)
• God’s will (this is my favorite resource: Taking the Mystery Out of Knowing God’s Will. Highly recommend listening to this sermon.)
• Spiritual Gifts (find out what yours are and how you can use them for His glory. Every true believer starts out with at LEAST one spiritual gift and over time, the more you are willing and desirous to be used for His glory, the more He is generous with you and gives you more and more spiritual gifts.)
• Contentment (John MacArthur has a great sermon series on the Secret to Contentment here.)
