I’m not really a Halloween person…you could say that I’m not a fan. Dressing up to go to a stranger’s house in order to get candy is fun?! I don’t get it. I’d rather go to the store and buy candy I actually like without all the needles and drugs in it thank you very much.
But before you write me off as a Bah humbug type of person, I DO make Halloween fun for my kids. After all, they shouldn’t have to suffer just because I don’t care for the holiday, right?!
So, every year, we create a really fun Halloween themed treat as a family.
Funnest Halloween Treats To Make With Kids
Here are some of our favorite funnest Halloween treats to make with kids…
Halloween Marshmallow Pops
Simply cover marshmallows in chocolate and sprinkles. We had fun eating these! Get the full recipe for these easy kid-friendly Halloween treats here.
Spider Pizza
The kids are always begging me to have pepperoni pizza, so we made pepperoni spider pizza with olives for a Halloween dinner idea. I’m addicted to olives. I seriously buy them just to eat them out of the can!
Monster Teeth
My daughter is obsessed with green apples and my son with peanut butter. What better way to get them to eat healthy than to make monster teeth! For the actual teeth, you can use whole out-of-the-shell peanuts, macadamia nuts, or even yogurt covered peanuts for a kick of sweetness!
Orange and Purple Halloween Cupcakes
We used the same sprinkles on these as the Marshmallow Pops to save money. You can get the full recipe for these cupcakes here.
Mummy Toast
Super simple ingredients. Just bread, ketchup, cheese, and olives. For a twist, you can use BBQ sauce as well. Perfect for a Halloween lunch idea!
Banana Ghosts
The fruit my kids eat the most often is banana’s and they are super cheap. You can easily make ghosts out of them with chocolate chips for eyes and a mouth (just turn the chip of the mouth inside the banana toward the opposite way of the eyes).
Spooky Trail Mix
Oh seriously, this stuff is SO good! The sweetness from the candy corn and the salted pretzels made this treat addicting! Get the recipe here.
Cobweb English Muffin Bites
You can make spider webs out of English Muffins, ketchup, and cheese strips. Then just make your spiders with olives.
Hopefully these fun treats give you some ideas of some cool treats to make this Halloween!
