For breakfast one morning, I made myself and the kids some eggs and rice.
It’s a really simple recipe. I use half a bag of cooked (according to package directions) Knorr Fiesta Sides Spanish Rice. Once the rice is cooked, take half the rice and combine it with 12 beaten eggs.
Well, my daughter….the picky eater! I don’t know if she didn’t like the eggs or the rice, but she spent quite a long time trying to separate the two!
As you can imagine, it’s pretty well impossible! But determined she was to do it.
It made me think about Christ. Once we become a Christian, trying to separate us from Christ is like trying to meticulously pull apart eggs and rice.
It’s just impossible. God permeates everything we do.
He’s a part of us. He’s in our hearts, our lives, our speech.
Everything changes and trying to take Him out of our lives, is near impossible.
While we can, even in our greatest sin, walk away from Him, we can never fully get rid of Him. He’s stuck to us like eggs on rice. 😊
He never leaves, He never goes away, He’s always there, whether we want Him in that moment or not. I tell you the truth, I’ll never look at eggs again and I’m so thankful to my daughter, for providing me such a beautiful illustration of our lives as Christians and Christ’s love for us.
