When I was a child I spent most days with my Grandmother. She loves to have a neat and tidy home and always followed a routine. Wash the sheets on Thursdays, sweep every other day, dust once a week. When I look back I can see that my love of cleaning came from her. She is always cleaning her home and of course, is always careful about the cleaning products she uses.
My grandmother loves to use homemade cleaning recipes to make her own cleaning products. When I was a child we were always using vinegar to make some kind of cleaner. We would use vinegar and water to wash windows, vinegar and Dawn Dish Soap to clean tubs and showers, or vinegar and baking soda to clean the toilets.
I swore once I grew up and had my own home, I would never use vinegar for anything and would only buy store made cleaning products. However, once I did finally grow up and was responsible for my own home, I realized how wise my Grandmother was to make her own cleaners.
Not only are store-bought cleaning products expensive but they are also not as effective as homemade cleaning products! You can scrub and scrub your showers trying to remove soap scum with a store-bought cleaner or you could simply spray your shower with Dawn and vinegar, let it sit for an hour, and then watch as the soap scum easily washes off your shower walls!
As an adult, I am so thankful for the valuable cleaning lessons I learned from my Grandmother, and the cleaning recipes she taught me as I was growing up.
And now I am super excited to share them with you in this Homemade Cleaning Recipes Binder! It has everything you need to keep track of cleaning your home!
