My mom doesn’t like peanut butter desserts, so growing up, I rarely got them. I sure am making up for it now, I tell ya!
I’m a total sucker for sweet peanut butter treats and these baked homestyle peanut butter bars do not disappoint!
They are sure to be a new family favorite in your home!
Homestyle Peanut Butter Bars Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup caramel syrup
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2: In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until uniform.
Step 3: Add the egg and continue mixing.
Step 4: While stirring, slowly add in the flour, caramel syrup, and baking soda until it’s well blended.
Step 5: Add the peanut butter and blend.
Step 6: In a baking tin, pour the mixture and place it into the oven.
Step 7: Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
Add some chocolate chips to the mixture or as a topping for an extra sweet flavor. Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy.
