Want to make a ‘just because’ gift? This unique gift idea is sure to please! The fun part is, the homemade gift keeps on giving. Make memories and spend fun, quality time with your children as you make the contents in the jar! This is, in my opinion, the funnest DIY gift ever for kids (girls and boys) to make….and eat. 🙂

What to type on label:
Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar Recipe
- 1 cup butter or margarine softened
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Thoroughly blend together the butter, egg, and vanilla.
Empty jar of cookie mix into the butter mix.
Mix until completely blended.
Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
Drop teaspoons full of batter about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Don’t have an egg? No problem. I didn’t either. 😉 Simply substitute two eggs for 2 tablespoons mayo, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 3 tablespoons water. Those 3 ingredients will equal your two eggs. Don’t worry, you won’t be able to taste the mayo in there!
