If you know me at all, you know I make a horrible seamstress. I can’t sew worth anything…I can sew on a button; that’s about it.
But that doesn’t mean I want to skip out on teaching my kids counting in a fun way.
“Sew,” I came up with this no sew pizza play idea to help!
Use it for multiplication, division, adding, subtracting, all things math related!
This felt play food pizza is super fun for the kids, extremely easy to make, and educational, all at the same time!
DIY No Sew Pizza Play Craft
Materials Needed:
- Light brown felt
- Red felt
- White felt
- Scissors
- 2 round lids to trace a circle (mine was a small coffee can lid that I got from a friend) – one larger, one smaller
- Small circle to trace for the pepperoni (I used a washed K-cup-which I also used to make a cute Raccoon K-cup Card Holder!)
Directions:
Step 1: Trace the larger circle template around the light brown felt and cut out.
Step 2: Use the second smaller circle to trace another circle for the pretend pizza sauce and cut out with the scissors.
Step 3: Use the scissors to cut 3 strips of white felt and then into smaller rectangular pieces to resemble ‘cheese.’
Step 4: Lastly, you will want to cut out 5-6 small circles of red felt for ‘pepperoni.’
That’s it, super easy and cute! When the kids are done playing with it, simply store your felt play food pizza craft set in a Ziploc bag.
