Easy Painted Pencil Jar Craft Idea
Materials:
- 1 glass Mason Jar
- 1 can chalkboard spray paint
- 1 can of spray primer (clear or white)
Directions:
Step 1: If you are using a new mason jar, you are all set to begin priming your jar. If you are using an old jar, make sure it is washed and dried. Use a little bit of rubbing alcohol on the outside of the jar to remove any other residue.
Step 2: Using your spray primer, prime your jar in a well ventilated area. I spray paint all my projects in our garage on a foldable table and lay down a large flat board to keep the paint from getting on the garage floor.
Step 3: Spray the outside of the mason jar with the spray primer and let dry.
Step 4: Once the spray primer has dried, spray the jar with 1 coat of chalkboard paint and let it dry completely.
Step 5: Turn the mason jar upside down and spray with a second coat of chalkboard paint getting any spots you may have missed the first time. Let dry completely.
Use the jar to store pens, pencils, markers and other back to school supplies!
