My kids both love to read- well, my son SAYS he does anyway…not sure he ACTUALLY does or not…that’s still to be decided. 🙂 And my daughter is the craft activities (craftivity) queen in the house, so we decided to make a Pete the Cat banana craft made out of a paper plate, to go along with the Pete the Cat storybook and bring it to life!
Perfect for toddlers, kindergarteners & even preschoolers!
Pete the Cat Activities: Banana Craft
Materials:
- Pete the Cat- Pete’s Big Lunch Storybook
- Paper Plate
- Yellow Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Brown Crayon
- Scissors
Directions:
1. Use a pair of scissors to cut two sides off of your paper plate in “C” or banana shape, it helps if you use the edges of the plate as a cutting guide template
2. Lay a piece of newspaper down and paint your banana pieces yellow with your paint brush, leaving just the ends white and let dry
3. Once your bananas are dry, color the ends with a brown crayon
Optional: if your feeling up for more Pete the Cat craft ideas, use a few more paper plate crafts to make the rest of Pete’s sandwich.
