Doubts start to enter into my mind, but I trust in you and thank you for telling me that I can always find perfect peace in you, even when things get to be a struggle and it seems hopeless. I know that you are there. Please help me let go of my worry, and instead trust in your care. You knew it would happen before the foundations of the world were created and you have it all taken care of already. I just need to trust that, Lord. Please help me to trust that.
Day 16: Prayer for Trust (Proverbs 3:5-6)
As a single mom, there are many things that I have to do on my own. I’m responsible for providing financially, emotionally, and physically for my needs as well as the needs of my children. This is oftentimes a lot to handle and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. Please help me to learn to trust in you more. This doesn’t mean that I won’t have challenges or face difficult times, but it does mean that I will have the strength to face whatever comes my way because I know who holds my hand. Please help me to trust you more because I know it allows me to have hope when things are tough and it gives me the peace of mind that comes from knowing I am never alone. You are always right there with me, guiding me and leading me through all this. You are the source of my strength, hope, and peace in the midst of such challenging and uncertain times. Thank you for being there for me.
Day 17: Prayer for Hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
Dear Lord, I pray for hope today in all areas of my life. Sometimes I will start feeling lost and hopeless like there is no end in site, like each day is set on repeat with no meaning or purpose. Just scripted actions that seem pointless. But I know that I can always find hope in you. Please help me to remember that no matter what I’m going through, you are with me and will never leave me. Fill me with your hope today, Lord, let my heart fill light and unburdened so that I may run the race of endurance that you have set out for me.
Day 18: Prayer for Strength (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
I feel so weak and exhausted at times when doing everything myself. It feels like I have no help and I’m swimming upstream all by myself. I have no one to lean on, a husband to shelter me in times of trouble, to put his arm around me and tell me everything will be okay. To hold me and comfort me. I don’t have someone to invest in ME as I struggle through life, to hold my hand and walk through it with me. There’s no one there and so I pray for your strength, knowing that any strength I have comes from you and you alone, Lord. Please help me to remember that when I am weak and weary that you are strong, you are an ever-present being and it is you that strengthens me. Fill me with your strength, dear Lord, because today, I desperately need it.
Day 19: Prayer for Love (1 John 4:18)
Father, I come to you today feeling unloved and all alone. Even some of my good friends have left me and it’s such a tough struggle to get through. I’m trying to keep my hope alive, trying to trust in you, but I don’t see the future like you do. I don’t see how you’ll work all this out, but I hold onto my hope that I know you will! Thank you that I can always find love and peace in you. Please help me to remember that no matter what others may think or say about me, your love for me is never-ending and it’s a great cause to rejoice. Fill me with your love today, Lord, and help me to share that love and peace with others.
Day 20: Prayer for Worth (Psalm 139:13-14)
Today I pray for your worth. I know I am not worthy of your love and grace because I sin and fall down constantly. I’m in desperate need of a Savior each and every day as I struggle through life as a single mom, but I thank you for it, knowing I can always find my worth in you. Knowing that you saved me and set my feet upon solid rock. I am worthy because you’ve made me to be worthy and I am a godly woman because you alone have created me to be. You filled me with a love and desire for your Word and I fill my heart with it daily. I truly treasure the Bible and spending daily time with you and I’m so thankful that you give me a place to go because I feel all alone so often. Fill me with your worth, and help me to share that treasure with others. Get rid of any feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness so that I may boldly proclaim your name to the watching world.

Let it be for your glory and let me be used for your will.
Day 22: Prayer for Protection (Isaiah 43:2)
Heavenly Father, I pray for your protection today. Things are getting hard and I’m unsure about my future. I know that I can always find protection in you. I pray – and know – that no matter what I am facing today, that you are with me and you will never leave me. I am wholly yours, Lord. Please do with my life whatever you’d like. I am your servant. Cover me in your protection, Lord, and cover my children with it as well.
Day 23: Prayer for Peace (1 Peter 5:7)
Lord, today I am feeling a bit anxious and stressed about a few things. Though I do thank you because I know I can always find peace and rest in you. I pray you help me let go of my worries and that I remain steadfast in my focus on you. I want my life so much to matter for you. For you to use me to be a light to the dying world. I pray that you give me peace, while I try to fulfill this great endeavor. Fill me with your peace and calm my soul like you calmed the raging sea. Make life’s rough edges smooth and smooth out the path before me. I know that with you by my side, I can accomplish anything.
Day 24: Prayer for Rest (Matthew 11:28)
Rest is important for everyone, but it’s especially significant for single moms like me Lord, because single moms do so much more than a family with a mom and a dad. It’s just the facts. We have to play all the parts and in order to care of our kids, we need to ensure we’re taking care of ourselves first. That’s why it’s so important I come to you today Lord, because of how weary, tired, and overwhelmed I feel. I need you to carry me and give me a good dose of rest. I’m tired and have so many things going on. Please help me to know what is worthy for me to work on and what I should leave alone and help me to spend my time in a manner worthy of you. Thank you for letting me come to you when I need rest and for showing me that it’s important for me to take rest days, like the Sabbath. I can’t help others, including my friends and family if I’m a wreck myself. I need to take time to rest and I ask that you please show me that rest. Please help me let go of all my worries and whatever entangles me from getting that sweet rest and instead, focus my full attention on you, Lord.
Day 25: Prayer for Renewal (Isaiah 40:31)
Heavenly Father, I come to you today feeling worn out and depleted of all strength. Thank you that I can always find my rest and renewal in you. Please help me to remember that no matter how tired I am or how difficult things may seem, you alone give me the strength to keep going. Fill me with your strength, your peace, your joy and your love. Renew my heart and soul so that I can handle what I’m walking through.
Day 26: Prayer for Direction (Psalm 23:1-2)
Being a single mom is hard, but I know that with you by my side, I can handle anything and I pray that you show me what to do as I’m struggling with a decision and I’m just not sure which path to take. I want to take your path, the path you want me on. Please Lord, show me which way you’d like me to go. I know that your care for me is constant, and that you will guide me through every valley I come across. Thank you for always being there for me, even when I don’t realize it or see your hand. I know that you’re there and that you love me so very much. I pray that you know how much I love you also and how hard I’m trying to obey you.
Day 27: Prayer for Patience (Proverbs 31:25)
Lord, I know that patience is a virtue. I also know that it’s not always easy to be patient, especially when I’m tired or feeling stressed. Help me to remember that your timing is perfect and that everything will happen in your time. Help me to be able to wait for your provision and hand on my life. Help me to praise you while in the midst of a terrible storm, one where there seems to be no way out, Lord. I know that without you, I’ll fall to my death but that you won’t allow that to happen because you love me. You are my rock and salvation, Lord. On you I secure my hope and trust.
Day 28: Prayer for Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Lord, I am so grateful that I can come to you with anything and everything and talk to you like my best friend. You’re always there for me, always comforting me and guiding me. I know that there is nothing too big or too small for you to handle. Help me to remember to pray about all the things in my life, both the good and the bad, the large decisions and the mundane because you are my God: the One in whom I trust. Thank you for always being there to listen. Thank you for constantly spending so much effort and energy on me to become more like you. I desire to be like you so much and I need your lovingkindness to help me become who you want me to be.
Day 29:Prayer for Encouragement (2 Timothy 1:7)
Lord, there are times when I feel like I can’t go on. I can’t make it another step, I’m lying flat on the ground with no help in sight. Everything seems impossible and I feel like I’ll never get through this. I might as well just throw in the towel and give up now. But I also know that you always give me strength when I need it most. You give me just enough strength to get past this wall in front of me and tomorrow I know that you’ll be there too, giving me just enough strength to get past that wall. Each and every day you walk with me, getting me through life and I thank you for being my rock and my fortress, a safe place I can plant my feet in stability. I praise you for your power and your might, for your genuine love for me and your care. Please encourage my heart today, Lord, because I’m running so hard to be the woman you want me to be and I need your strength, comfort, encouragement, and love.
Day 30: Prayer for Compassion (Psalm 37:4-5)
Lord, I know that there are times when I am not as compassionate toward others as I should be. Help me to remember that everyone is fighting their own battle, and that I don’t always know what they are going through. Give me your compassion so that I can show it to others and shine your light for others in a more gentle and pure way. Give me your eyes so that I may see others in a new light and give me a desire to help those you put around me more.
As I pour out my heart in these prayers for single moms, I hope they provide you with the comfort, strength, and encouragement that you need as a single mom. Please know that you are NOT alone. God is on your side and He will never forsake you. Lean on Him during these challenging times, and allow Him to guide you through motherhood and through all of life’s difficulties.
