Sometimes when I look at a picture of food from another culture other than my own, I get intimidated.
Do you ever feel like that?
I feel like, maybe they use some ingredients I’m not used to or have never heard of, and since I have no experience with those types of foods, it can be somewhat scary. I don’t know how to mix flavors I’ve never tried before. I mean, who does, really?
But the more I learn about other cultures, the more I learn their food…and I LOVE learning about other cultures. The truth is, that the more you open yourself up to learning, the more you discover you have in common with others and I think that’s really cool. Although our foods may be different, we have the same beating heart, and that’s where the recipes come from.

This Tzatziki sauce is so tasty, your friends will never know how easy it is to make (unless you tell them!) It’s a fresh change from boring chips and salsa and it’s hugely impressive to just bust out something your friends have never heard of before.
Tzatziki Sauce
Ingredients:
- Tortilla chili chips
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 garlic clove
- 1/2 cucumber
- Corn
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of oregano
Directions:
Step 1: Mince the garlic, and add to sour cream in a small bowl.
Step 2: Add diced cucumber, olive oil, and salt. Stir well.
Step 3: Top the sour cream mixture with diced avocado, corn, tomatoes, and oregano.
