Right now you feel dumb, and stupid, and worthless. You look around and everyone else seems to have their butterfly wings on and you’re sittin’ there crawling around on the ground with your little caterpillar legs.
Out of frustration you cry, “WHEN is it going to be MY turn to fly?!”
No one answers. There’s no one there.
But I’m here.
Even though very far away from you, I see you in a different way than you see yourself.
And if I held up the mirror, you’d see that you’re ALREADY a butterfly.
A beautiful shining butterfly.
You’re a great mom. You fail, yes, but you keep trying. You won’t give up on your kids.
You’re a great friend. The best there is. Always there for everyone, helping out whenever you can.
You’re a great wife. You’re not blameless and you may make your husband angry sometimes, but you really love on him and strive to show him that love every single day.
If only you could see what everyone else sees in you.
You’re amazing…but you are too hard on yourself. Look in the mirror. Look at those pretty wings.
It’s not about WHEN you’ll get there, it’s about realizing that wings come in all different shapes and sizes.
Some butterflies are bigger than others, or have bolder colored wings. Some are littler, or have pastel or even white wings. But wings they have, none-the-less.
It’s time for you to realize your wings are beautiful just how they are.
Take flight…it may be scary at first, but it will be more natural the more you fly.
